​Kids' Speech Therapy offers speech and language assessment and therapy in the Hills district, Sydney that is tailored to your child's individual needs.

I aim to create a learning environment that is fun and enjoyable for your child.
No referral is required to access this service - parents are welcome to contact without a referral from your GP.

Initial Appointment 

The initial session is focused on getting to know your child, including their communication skills, interests and personality.

Sometimes a formal assessment may also be carried out to see how their skills are developing for their age. The results, including areas of strength and areas that may need support, are clearly explained.

If your child has already had an assessment at another service, the initial appointment will be more informal and focus on getting to know your child through play and observation.

​I will also speak with you to gather relevant background information and discuss your goals and concerns. This session helps me understand your child’s needs and explains how therapy will be tailored to support their communication development.

Therapy

Therapy sessions are individually tailored and focus on specific goals and strategies for your child. All sessions are based on strong rationales and theoretical knowledge.

A therapy session may typically include:

• A discussion regarding your child’s goals and progress made since their last appointment.
• One-on-one therapy with your child, conducted in a fun, interactive and practical manner using games and toys that motivate learning.
• Detailed feedback throughout the session, with activities explained as we go so parents understand and receive guidance.
• Strategies and ideas to support your child’s learning are shared, including ways to incorporate learning into daily routines. Where appropriate, parents may also take home paper-based games or activities to continue practicing with their child throughout the week.
